The “ORPHEUS” sliding door is classified in accordance with the European standard DIN EN 16034 and can be manufactured in particularly large dimensions (up to 17,400 mm x 8,750 mm) in EI30 / EI90 ratings, both as a tight-sealing door (Sa) and as a smoke-sealing door (S200). The use of two 1,250 mm wide threshold-free wicket doors and several glazing elements can also be incorporated as an option. Installation is no problem with wall thicknesses of 115 mm or more.
In addition to maximum safety, our fire-rated sliding door offers you complete design freedom with maximum functionality. This is because ‘ORPHEUS’ is telescopic up to three sections, meaning it can also be used in confined spaces. Using recessed and ceiling-mounted flaps and a smoke extraction system instead of visible smoke detectors, we are able to integrate the fire-rated sliding door almost invisibly into your project. This ensures that the overall impression of a room is not marred by distracting elements.

Door leaf
The gate leaf consists of multiple elements measuring 300- 1,000 mm in width (depending on how wide the gate is). The individual elements are joined to create a robust gate leaf using a special connecting system that leaves no visible bulges or screw heads. The gate leaf is 62 mm thick. The surface is made of galvanised sheet steel and completely flat. The lead-in profile and labyrinth profile are galvanised. The gate leaf is tight fitting as standard (Sa ) with a seal on three sides.
GUIDE RAIL
Each gate panel runs on ball-bearing-mounted rollers. The cold-rolled, galvanised c-profile is secured to the wall or ceiling by means of brackets. The guide rail casing is galvanised.
FLOOR GUIDE
The floor guide is to the side of the clear width.
EQUIPMENT
The furniture consists of a bow handle on the opposite side to the wall and a recessed handle on the wall side. The gate opening is limited by cushioned end stops. The gate closes automatically by means of closing weights, with a constant closing speed being ensured by a hydraulic closing speed governor.
CONTROL
A specially matched control system (hold-open system) that has been approved by the building inspectorate is used, with optional opening assistance.
