Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for Ludwig Jansen

A special honor for a special person: Ludwig Jansen has been awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany (Bundesverdienstkreuz am Bande) — an honor that fills the entire company with pride and joy. The award was presented by District Administrator (Landrat) Marc-André Burgdorf on behalf of Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

At the festive award ceremony, alongside his family and friends, many long-standing companions were also present — a wonderful testament to how many people Ludwig Jansen has accompanied and shaped over the years. The ceremony lasted longer than usual — for good reason: there is much for which Ludwig Jansen was honored.

Commitment to the company and the region

With vision, innovation, and courage, Ludwig Jansen built the company. For him, economic success was never the sole focus — the responsibility for his employees always mattered deeply to him, and their well-being was always close to his heart. This is reflected, among other things, in family-friendly working conditions, in health promotion, and in lived inclusion. This also includes the introduction of a company-run kindergarten, at a time when this kind of offering was far from standard. In doing so, Ludwig Jansen made an important contribution to reconciling family and career — a personal passion that still has an impact today. In health prevention, too, he set important impulses early on and showed genuine pioneering spirit.

Social commitment

Beyond the company, Ludwig Jansen has also been dedicated wholeheartedly to social causes for many years. During the refugee crisis of 2015/16, he developed a modular housing concept that made it possible to quickly and affordably create living space for refugees. Through the Förderverein der Johannesburg (support association), he continues to support children and young people in difficult life situations to this day — quietly, steadily, and without seeking attention for it.

The entire Jansen team wholeheartedly congratulates Ludwig Jansen on this well-deserved honor.
