System:

Textile-flexible systems consist of textile fabrics which have been approved by building control. Corresponding to the classification for sealing-off of fire and smoke, glass filament fabrics are used, partially with silicon or polyurethane lamination.

Due to the low weight and small casing and guide rail dimensions these systems are especially indicated for open room designs or refitting.

Guide rail:

The hanging is guided in laterally mounted profiles.

Function:

In open condition the winding shaft is located in a zinc-coated sheet steel casing above or in the aperture to be closed. The winding shaft is kept in an open position by means of a magnetic clamp. The system is closed speed-controlled through an end-rail via dead weight following the principle of “Gravity Fail Save” at appr. 15 cm/s.

Control & drive:

For the activation of the drive with internal locking device a micro-processor controlled internal locking system is implemented for the automatic textile-flexible systems. Due to battery buffering the end-rail will be held in its current position for at least four hours in case of a power outage.

Smoke guards:

In combination with smoke and heat extractor systems they serve to create a smoke-free layer above floor level, improving escape and rescue of people and animals as well as the protection of the building.

Smoke protection conclusions:

They serve to keep application units and especially escape and
rescue routes free of smoke. Smoke protection conclusions in closed condition are supposed to hamper the entry of smoke in such a way, that in case of a fire the area beyond can be used for the rescue of persons for a span of appr. ten minutes without respiratory protection.

Fire protection curtains:

In a built-in condition their purpose is to prevent the entrance of fire.

An expanded version of fire protection curtains are systems with thermal radiation-reducing performances. The radiance on the opposite side will be reduced and may have to feature max. 15 kW/m² at a distance of one metre.
