1981
Founding of the company Jansen Tore. In the first few years roller doors are bought, sold and installed.
1984
After an enormous increase in production the production is moved to the new production premises “Am Wattberg”. The production of sectional doors is started.
1991
With the variety of door options the demand for drive and control engineering increases. A first own electronics department is set up.
1992
Jansen Tore expands nationwide. Own retail offices are founded to support customers and construction projects on site. With the company Jansen PU-Technik the firm expands its product portfolio. With the completion of the first repair panels for other manufacturers’ doors a new market is being developed.
1997
Through a major fire 10,000 m² of production area as well as 200 m² of office space is destroyed. Within the shortest time a new additional production site is purchased so that the door production can be carried on with.
The high-quality repair panels of Jansen PU-Technik are meanwhile employed in Europe as well as the USA.
During the same year Ludwig Jansen receives the Innovation Award of the R+T trade fair (Rolladen und Türen / shutters and doors) for his newly developed door system, the SL Sectional Door (hingeless).
1999
The Jansen Tortechnik GmbH is sold to the American company “ALBANY International Corporation”.
Still in the same year Ludwig Jansen founds the company BS Brand-Schutztore (fire protection doors).
2000 - 2002
The development of new products is fostered. The fire protection sectional door and the stacking door are introduced on the market. At the same time smoke protection development ensues in all product ranges.
2004 - 2006
Repurchase of the company Jansen Tore. In the year 2006 the renaming of the company BS Brand-Schutztore to Jansen Brandschutz-Tore takes place. To the Jansen Group belong meanwhile the following firms: Jansen PU-Technik, Jansen Tore and Jansen Brandschutz-Tore.
2006
The Jansen Group has now been existing for 25 years and celebrates this occasion honourably with its employees, customers and suppliers.
The company Jansen Brandschutz-Tore receives the so far largest order in the company’s history. The Neue Landesmesse Stuttgart (Stuttgart’s new fairground) is equipped with more than 70 fire protection doors and 900 doors by the company located in the Ems region. In the year 2007, after almost 2 years of work the ceremonious opening of the new fairground takes place.
On 28 February 2006 the DIBt (German institute for building technology) in Berlin awards the approvement for the innovative T30 fire protection roller door AQUISO®. In May 2006 the door is awarded with the first price during the “Deutscher Brandschutzpreis 2006” (German Fire Protection Awards 2006).
Demand for PU panels of the manufacturer Jansen increases steadily. The production is moved to larger premises in Lathen in spring.
2007
Parts of the company HOTZ Rolltore in Berlin are taken over by Jansen. Thus the service and maintenance section can be expanded. A retail office for Berlin is founded.
2008
The retail offices are changed into branch offices. The location in Surwold changes more and more to an outright production site so that the retail can be handled mainly by the different local branch offices.
The company Jansen PU-Technik has developed into a constant in the field and meanwhile produces far more than 15 different kinds of panels of numerous manufacturers and is furthermore capable of producing individual panels in design, thickness and material for all purposes of implementation to customers’ requirements.
2009
The continuous growth of the company Jansen in recent years has led to the move of the complete production of Jansen Tore from Surwold to Aschendorf. There, an area of 33,000 m² is available which was bought from the ADO plant.
The company Jansen Maritim is founded and specializes in fire protection products according to the current guide lines for ship building IMO and MED. Here the company benefits from the long-term experience of the Jansen Holding in the field of fire protection, soundproofing and panel production.
Expansion of the product portfolios in the field fire protection by “Steel-Glass-Doors” and “Conveying-System Closures”.
2010
The demand for Jansen PU-panels continues to rise steadily so that the production is moved from Lathen to larger premises in Aschendorf in spring.
Change of name of the branch offices: the corporate name follows allocation (North, North-West, South, etc.) and allows for uniformity and clarity.
Change of name from “Jansen Brandschutz-Tore” (Jansen Fire Protection Doors) to “Jansen Brandschutz” (Jansen Fire Protecton): due to the steady expansion of the product portfolio the corporate name “Brandschutz-Tore” is no longer applicable.
2011
The Jansen Group is celebrating its 30th anniversary.
